With hits like The Lazy Song that always get everyone singing along, there’s no doubt that Bruno Mars is one of the most talented music artists today. Too bad though, his second album, Unorthodoz Jukebox, debuted only at top 2 in the Billboard Chart.
But don’t get it wrong. Ranking second in the Billboard Chart is already a huge achievement. But of course, coming out on top surely would have been better and if not only for Taylor Swift’s “Red,” then surely, that would have happened.
Still the sales figure is rocking for Bruno Mars. According to Nielsen SoundScan, his new album sold 192, 000 copies. That’s about four times more than the number of copies of his first album sold in 2010.

“He came close, but Bruno Mars will fall just short of a #1 debut with his second album, Unorthodox Jukebox, which was kept out of the top spot by, yes, Taylor Swift.
Jukebox will hit the #2 spot on the Billboard 200 chart thanks to sales of 192,000, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan. That’s nearly four times as many copies as Mars’ 2010 debut, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, shifted in its first week, when it came in at #3 on sales of 55,000.”
